CTE Film/TV Production Pathway

The CTE Film and TV Production Pathway is taught at Castaic High School, during the school day. All courses are high-school level courses. Our state of the art production studio was complete in 2023.

Did you know that.....

Good Morning Castaic (GMC) is an entirely student produced TV show
GMC produces a weekly broadcast, a weekly podcast, plus numerous videos of various types for local businesses and film contests
our Film/TV Production students have won several awards at the annual STN (Student Television Network) competition
Our courses have been articulated with COC's MEA courses - meaning, students can apply for college credit! (for information, click HERE)

Pre-requisites to join CTE Film/TV Production courses include: proven prior experience in video production as demonstrated through a portfolio of work, successful completion of Video Production 1A/1B, and permission of our program director.
