Cross Country

My name is Coach Merari M. Hunter. I’m the Castaic's Head Cross-Country Coach. I have participated in Cross Country/Track, from junior high to the collegiate level. In high school, Cross Country training taught us to be a team, to count on each other, and to believe in and beyond our abilities.  I set high standards for our athletes, with education at the core of the program and our training at a challenging level. I was Assistant Track Coach at Sierra Canyon School. There I learned the fundamentals of athlete development. Working with motivated and dedicated young athletes is my passion. I am excited to take everything I’ve learned so far to develop a productive and successful program.
