Summer Athletic Camps 2024

SUMMER ATHLETICS PROGRAM 2024

The 2024 Castaic Summer Athletic Program will consist of one through six week camps depending on the program you choose. You must pay for your camp(s) online and complete the Athletic Clearance process before your student can participate in interscholastic athletic practices and contests. This process must be repeated, every year, regardless of a student's grade in school. Please completely follow all steps listed below in order to register for summer camp(s). No student will be allowed to attend a camp prior to all three steps listed below being completed.

Step 1-Online Camp Registration & Payment

You may register for summer camps online between May 1st and June 7th. Visit our online store by clicking on the following link: student store.

Select the camp(s) that you wish to participate in and add to your shopping cart. When finished, select “view cart” and proceed to “Checkout” where you will be prompted to pay for your items. You will receive a receipt once the transaction is completed.

Step 2-Physical Exams

Castaic High School Athletes are required to have an ANNUAL physical examination. All physicals must be signed by a MD, DO, or NP. No other type of healthcare provider will be accepted. Physicals must be completed with the student athlete’s private doctor or, for your convenience, the Castaic Sports Medicine Program has arranged for low-cost physicals that will be taking place at Exer Urgent Care. This physical will cover athletes for all of the 2024-2025 school year, including the fall, winter, and spring sports seasons.

Date: May 1-August 31, 2024

Where: Exer Urgent Care

Cost: $25 paid through Castaic Student Store

Step 3-Athletic Clearance

All students, new and returning, must login to Athletic Clearance at https://athleticclearance.com to complete all paperwork and upload their current physical before attending a summer camp. This process must be completed yearly, even for returning athletes. Returning athletes will already have an account created on the Athletic Clearance website. New students will be prompted to create an account and will need their Hart District Student ID Number to register. Follow the instructions on the Athletic Clearance website to complete the athletic clearance process and to upload all required paperwork and signatures.

The Student ID number is needed to register. If you are an incoming freshman from a William S. Hart District Junior High School your ID number is the same. If you are coming from CMS or another school from outside the District you should have received your ID number via email from our school Registrar. Please contact Lizeth Ordonez if you did not receive a school ID. 661-888-6288 x128 or [email protected].

Refund Policy

The cancellation deadline is one week after the starting date of the first camp for which you have registered. There is a $25.00 processing fee for all refunds. Approved refunds will be processed during the first week of August, 2024. All refund requests should be addressed to the Castaic HS ASB Office at 661-888-6288 x242 or by contacting Jean Schwartz at [email protected].

Additional Information

There is no requirement of enrollment in a summer athletic camp to be on a team nor does enrollment in a summer athletic camp guarantee athletes make a team. Families may take summer vacations during summer athletic camps. If you have any questions about each camp, please contact the coach using the information provided on the attached camp schedule.

Summer athletic programs are not subject to the same restrictions against fee collection that apply to school year, educational activities. Hart District summer athletic programs are fee-based and all participating students must have their registration (including payment of fees) completed BEFORE taking part in camp activities. Summer athletic camp programs differ from school-year programs in many ways, including the brevity of the program, the fact that no grades or academic credits are earned, and participation in the camp is optional.
