Textbooks

Guidelines for textbook use:

1. Return any overdue books first before checking out books for the new year or semester.
2. If you carry a textbook to class, we recommend that you cover your book with a sturdy book cover.
3. Complete the damage waiver form (available online-see button below) and list any preexisting damage to  your textbooks. You will need to login to your school Google account to access the form.
4. You are financially responsible if your textbooks (including classroom novels) are lost or damaged.
5. If something out-of-the-ordinary (a stolen backpack, a family crises, etc.) please let the library know and we'll work with you.
6. Textbooks are checked out to individual students and should not be left in teachers' classrooms even if a teacher allows it.
7. Reminder: some teachers only want a class set and students do NOT take a book home, but access online materials. This varies by teacher.
8. Some of our textbooks have now become workbooks (eg English 9/10/11; Biology). Workbooks are called "consumable" and do not need to be returned because students can write in them.
9. Some of our textbooks (for iCAN classes) are eBooks. You will access these materials only online via a single use code that will be issued to you on a card.
