If you have any questions please email:

Grant Richman, a former NCAA athlete from Allegheny College in Pennsylvania, is also a local boy, having swam at Granada Hills Charter High School and Rattler Swim Club as a student athlete.  He earned a scholarship to swim distance freestyle, distance I.M., and distance butterfly events at Allegheny while studying political science and Arabic.

After college, he coached with the Paseo Swim Club and Rattler Swim Club as both a senior and age group coach, then becoming the head coach of Granada Hills Charter High School in 2017. While at GHCHS, the swim and dive team won five “All City Runner-Up” titles and qualified for the California State Swim Meet each year.

In addition to his coaching resume, he has a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education, and a single-subject social science teaching credential. He brings expansive experience to the pool deck including injury prevention, dynamic dry land training, and season planning. He is looking forward to helping Castaic High School develop a successful swim program that values scholarship, athletic excellence, emotional intelligence, and perseverance.
